New website is now online!

Wow, this took longer than expected. This year I decided to make myself more visible and start talking about stuff that's happening in my life.

My first idea was to code my own Tweet Hub to share short updates. A first Proof of Concept was done using an XML file as database. After successfully testing all requirements, I started to implement the code base which is now used as Tweet Hub and this website.
Afterwards, I decided to publish a first small project by creating an HTML eBay editor. The idea isn't new - I once had a small digital business selling templates for eBay auctions.
After the Tweet Hub and project were created, I decided to add a blog section as well. Sharing knowledge and insights to create interesting content is my main priority, as I want to inspire and teach other people who might start coding or get new ideas to work on.

Christmas season is opened

Christmas season is here and tomorrow is St. Nicholas Day! In Germany, children will put their boots out tonight, hoping St. Nicholas fills them with treats and small gifts.

Enjoy the magical Christmas season and close this year with joy and warmth!

Last check before Website Re-Release

I'm currently finalising the last steps before the website re-release. Final landing page looks like this.

wikpy website re-release final landing page

I've added a new colour scheme and design elements for example additional text boxes with give the blog a more personal touch. Also changed the thumbnail for the eBay Template Editor, did SEO stuff and integrated my Tweet Hub. All other pages are finished as well but need some rework. Afterwards I'm able to re-release wikpy. Hope to finish everything before christmas!

Backpacking Malaysia and Singapore

Don't worry, this won't become a travel blog :) After my master's degree, I just took the chance to enjoy some benefits of having more time than ever before. The migration project in my company is still running and is getting exhausting because of technical challenges, so it's a welcome change to visit some exciting new places.

Spent 10 days backpacking through Malaysia and Singapore. I really love Southeast Asia with all its beautiful places and awesome people. Started in Kuala Lumpur, took the bus to Singapore, and headed back to Malaysia by visiting Penang, an island in the west. The journey was really great, and I can definitely recommend these destinations!

Now back to work. I'm currently finishing the last steps before relaunching the wikpy website. Landing page, project overview, and tweet hub are already finished. I also added a linktree overview page and released the first project. Nowadays, the tech scene is moving so fast that you easily lose track of what you've already learned and achieved. Thats why I want wikpy to become my small personal space where I collect all memories during my developer journey.

Rainy but beautiful Budapest

Just back from 4 unforgettable days in Budapest! Despite initial rain, the city's charm shone through. St. Stephen's Basilica left me in awe. Don't miss out on Langos, a mouthwatering Hungarian street food. Deep-fried dough topped with sour cream and cheese.

Watched Wagner's "Der fliegende HollΓ€nder" at the stunning Hungarian State Opera House. An absolutely breathtaking venue! Whether you're into architecture, food, or arts, this city has it all, 100% recommendation!
